The Lyons Network is an organization of students and professionals dedicated to advancing women's leadership, career success and global impact.

Originally called the Business, Finance & Technology Mentors, it was founded in 1999 by a group of alumnae from Mount Holyoke College who held jobs at leading investment banks including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas and Merrill Lynch. The organization was launched for the purpose of educating undergraduate women at MHC about the world of finance, investment banking, research, sales and asset management.

Since its inception, the organization has expanded to educate and inspire women to pursue leadership opportunities across a much greater range of interests, including the arts, consulting, entrepreneurship, health care, law, media & entertainment, non-profits, public policy, science and technology. It now benefits and includes women all over the Northeastern United States and many different parts of the world.

To reflect the expanded purpose of the organization, it was renamed the Leadership & Career Mentoring Network in 2002, and finally to The Lyons Network in 2004. This name is in recognition of Mary Lyon, who founded Mount Holyoke College in 1837.

An Affiliate of the Mount Holyoke Alumnae Association since 2006, The Lyons Network continues to host conferences and workshops across different industries, connecting undergraduate women with an ever-growing global network of women leaders. Together, we have the power to change the world.
